Static pages play an important role in building a blog. They separate content into categories so that it gets easy for visitors to get towards the topic they are looking for.

But as you already know, that all of the static pages aren't meant to be displayed publicly.

And that is just why you need to hide some of them.

So today I will blog about hiding static pages in both Wordpress and Blogger.

Why Hide a Static Page ?

Well the reasons could be :

1.If You are Offering a giveaway :
If you are offering a giveaway like an free ebook or something similar to that to increase your email subscribers. If you are doing so then you are going to need an static page where the freebie will be available and thus it needs to be hidden because if it's not, then no one will subscribe to get to the static page (Landing Page). They will simply navigate towards the freebie from your navigation bar.

2.If Your Publishing Content for a Specific Audience :
If you want to reach a targeted audience for your content.Which could be your email subscribers, again something that you don't want to display publicly.

There could be a lot more reasons but right now I only had these two in mind.So lets get towards Hiding the Static Pages.

How to Hide Static Page In Blogger :

1.Get to blogger dashboard and select your blog.

2.Get to the pages section of the blog and create the page you want to hide.

3.Now after publishing the page, head to the layout section and click edit pages.

4.When a new window appears, just uncheck the page you want to display publicly and it won't appear again in your navigation bar.
