Bloggers read more link in the Homepage.One more default feature that makes your blog's appearance look ugly.And thus it needs to be customized.

If your blog's read more link is just a simple link then you must have noticed that it doesn't just looks too good.And especially, when you are always trying to make your blog's appearance a heart conquering one.

So you need to customize it !! And that is just what I will be blogging about in this post.

What we will try to achieve is to convert this

into something like this.

You can put an image instead the text or use a button or change the text like "Keep Reading" or something similar to it according to your choice.

So let's Get Going
Change read more link with image or text

      <div class='jump-link'>
        <a expr:href='data:post.url + &quot;#more&quot;' expr:title='data:post.title'><data:post.jumpText/></a>
      </div>
    </b:if>

1.5 .Replace the red highlighted code with the following tag <img src='link to the image'width='52px' height='25px'>

Possible Errors :
       Some of the templates may not have this tag  <div class='jump-link'> .If you are one of them then I would recommend you to find the jump link in your template by searching for "Read More" in the search bar and you may find something like the code below.

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType != &quot;static_page&quot;'>
<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType != &quot;item&quot;'>
<div style='float:right;padding-right:10px;margin-top:10px;'>
<a class='morer' expr:href='data:post.url'>Read More</a>

</b:if>

Just replace the red highlighted Read More with this tag <img src='link to the image'width='52px' height='25px'> .Paste in the url of the image and Save the Template and you'll have your problem solved.

    1. My bad! It actually is kinda vague. OK so first copy the url of the image you want to use as your read more link.

      Now, take a look at the code I provided in step 1.6. See the text in red "link to the image" ???

      Yup, that's where you paste the link to the image.

      P.S: Don't mess up with the quotation marks just paste the url inside them.

      Hope that helps!
